CBS' Complicity
There is a lot more to the Dan Rather story than the use of forged memos. I have wanted to post about what goes on behind the scenes in producing a story on television, so you will understand the blanket of guilt that extends beyond 60 Minutes, but my carpel tunnel has other ideas.
This morning I read Laughing Wolf, who has written two excellent posts surrounding CBS' criminal complicity on a number of issues. The first is an outstanding post that illustrates how CBS' complicit manipulation of the truth (and in my estimation, guilt of libelous acts) reaches the highest echelons at CBS.
The second, and equally important post, is on the crimes CBS and others committed. Please go read these insightful posts, so you can truly be aware of all the guilty actions and parties in this debacle.

Blogging Attire - pajamas or ...?
Contrary to popular belief, bloggers, like those at
Beautiful Attrocities, don't wear pajamas when they blog.
I blog in different outfits depending on my mood. When I feel like frolicking online I wear this little number.
This is what I wear when I'm in my digital brown shirt mood.
On sleepless nights when I'm burning the midnight oil, comfort is the name of the blogging game and it's me and Mickey till dawn.
(via A Likely Story.)
Let's dispell the pajama myth now. Send Harvey of Bad Example a picture of what you wear when blogging and let's show CBS that they're wrong on more than just the memos!
UPDATE 1: Disclaimer: The above pictures are of professional models. Any resemblance between the blogger and the models is purely coincidental.
UPDATE 2: I've been receiving lots of emails with interesting pics of people that are too shy to post their attire. All I can say is, thank you, I'm touched and inspired. Inspired to explore other blogging attire. I'd like to encourage the shy ones to consider using photo shop to perhaps super-impose Dan Rather's head onto their body, to have fun "forged" out of artistry. What say you shy ones?
HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIXY!!!! BTW, What are YOU wearing right now???

Good One. And you just scored HUGE points with Blogdaddy!!!
With the upcoming lost bet picture I have to post tonite, along with the realization that I've put on more weight than I thought I had, I will decline to post any blogging attire pictures out of respect for the blogsphere!

Oooohh, Michele- we look
good!
Perhaps that was all the kerfuffle, blogging women are just better attired than they expected?
(Thanks for the link, Michele).

Well, I normally blog in the average run of the mill pajamas, but I can appreciate...
When will Vogue run a good piece on blog fashion?
The Old Press always sleeping (in their three pieces suits, of course)
Incidentally: what is your bet about Dan Rather's future?

Well, if these folks are just the models we're using in your place, are we just supposed to guess how you'd look blogging in a bunny outfit?
Or is the bunny outfit just to throw Edwards (http://www.celluloid-wisdom.com/pw/index.php?/weblog/entry/john_edwards_talks_in_his_sleep1/) off his tracks.
Or is that another kind of bunny altogether?
Beats me..

"are we just supposed to guess how you'd look blogging in a bunny outfit? [thanks for the link]
I was torn between the bunny and the mouse outfit, but knowing Edward's fetish for bunnies I was concerned he'd start stalking me here. So I went with the mouseketeer outfit. He hates mice! In fact, he's deathly afraid of them!

Tammi speaks for me
Their names having been read, I now lack the words to encapsulate the feelings of this day. However, my blogsister,
Tammi does an incredible job of saying a little bit of how I feel this morning.
Thanks to all of you who have sent me emails and who have left comments of support. Please know that although I have been overwhelmed with preparations for several memorial services, I am truly grateful for the messages you've sent me. Thank you!

It's been 1 week and 2 days and it is truly amazing how people have pulled together. At my Publix (supermarket), there is a sign saying they are collecting monetary donations and they have already send 20 loaded trailers of food over there. Twenty. And that was posted by day 7. The outpouring is amazing. The Treasure Coast food bank was out collecting via many radio stations on Friday. All our radio stations are doing something and ALL OF US are donating one way or another.

Russian intelligence or a peeping Tom?
Okay, I'm spooked. I stopped by to see what the
Commissar's guest blogger had in store for us today; initially I loved what I saw. I was even laughing out load as I scrolled down to see how the US Postal Service had rendered homage to some of my favorite bloggers, through their first ever series of blogging stamps. I was able to guess who 70% of the stamps honored. Glen Reynolds and Simon's stamps were incredible likenesses of them so they were easy.
All was fine, until I scrolled down to see the stamp I was honored with.

More Blogging Etiquette Do's & Don'ts
While the Commisar's away at a re-education camp, a
Capitalist Pig has assumed control of our beloved Commisar's site. While visiting, he gives a few useful etiquette tips for guest bloggers. Which means I'll never be able to be a guest blogger on Harvey's site.
Harvey, himself is on a one man crusade to help save newbie bloggers from cluttering the blogosphere with bad form, content and style. He recently posted some really outstanding suggestions in his guide called 12 STEPS TO BETTER BLOGGING.
I would like to add a few do's and don'ts of my own, which I learned the hard way, during my first few years of online journaling [before it was called blogging]. Included in my list are some of the biggest mistakes I or others made [and paid for in the long run].

ItÂ’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
Well, here it is, my new home. [looking around apprehensively] I'm both nervous and excited about being here.
IÂ’m nervous, because I haven't gone over to my neighbors yet to introduce myself. I mean the reason why I moved here is because itÂ’s a better neighborhood, although sometimes my adopted blog dadÂ’s anticÂ’s worry me and make me wonder what kind of neighborhood IÂ’m moving into.

Congratulations. I kept checking the old site to see if you got the help you needed and, may I say, The New Place Is Great. So much more roomy!!
You've got some great neighbors and they are lucky to have YOU in the neighborhood!!
The one thing I noticed when I moved off blogspot was how much more dedicated I am now. Before it was like a game, now I actually schedule time for blogging. (I know, I'm just weird)
Anyway - this is great. I'll update the blogroll now!!!

Ms Michele:
How about adding a touch more color here. Maybe color the post title like the green hover. Plus I need to do a bit od tweaking for the margins/padding on the right side of the main column. Let me know if that's OK and I'll knock it out real fast tomorrow sometime.
