Yesterday was an inexplicably bad day. It was actually the worst day I've had since 9/11. I still havenÂ’t been able to figure out what actually happened but near as my counselor and I can figure out I seem to have had a full blown auditory/sensory flashback to the morning of 9/11.

Oh, my. Perhaps trauma is a bit like addiction; you're always recovering.
I wonder, do you have a usual Tuesday routine? Might that have triggered it? Just curious. {{{HUGS}}}

I haven't gone through the experience you have had, but dealing with death is a long process and I don't think you ever "fully" recover.
My dad died, gosh 14 years ago next month and I still have days that it seems like I just heard the news.
I guess one needs to realize they will always have "bad" days and need to learn how to deal with them when it happens. Which it seems like you knew what to do.
Hang in there, good days are not to far off.
