Pleased to meet you...Colin is my name! Bet what's puzzling you is the nature of my game.
Over the past 2 weeks, Michele has been posting on various British and European blogs in support of England's involvement in the war and Blair's international policies (quite eloquently I might add). Unfortunately, this attracted the ire of some nasty vindictive individuals who began to engage in some unsavory cyber stalking tactics. Michele being who she is, didn't say a word and decided to do battle with them on her own.
Over the past 48 hrs, she managed to win the war while unfortunately losing part of a costly battle. The good news is that she managed to save her hard drive. The bad news is that her PC is now so infected she will now need a major scrubbing before she can email any of you or post to her blog. I suggested she write from work, but it appears sheÂ’s too ethical to go that route.
As I listened to Michele's pleas, in that sultry voice of hers, it became clear that she was in dire need of assistance. Given my birth and breading, I could not leave a damsel in distress and offered both my protection and service to her.
So here I am, managing her blog for a short time, while she scrubs her computer clean of the digital scum that was left behind. In truth, although Michele did a wonderful job of walking me through this site and inspiring me to write, IÂ’m a bit daunted by the prospect of writing on a regular basis. M assures me that I possess the talent and skill to meet this challenge and has pledged to remain available by phone, so I'm boldly forging ahead willing to slay my own dragons.
She has turned over her email address [lettersfromnyc at yahoo dot com] to my disposal and with it her news aggregator service (thatÂ’s certainly a new thing for me), which she reassures me will provide me with plenty of fodder for my brain and content for the blog. Both are easy to manage as she has everything set up beautifully. So as I rally forth in this medium, I hope I wonÂ’t dismay and disappoint and can actually have an interesting dialogue with a few of you. She suggested that after writing a bit about myself in the next post I should perhaps write a bit on either the economic policies of the European Union or on the Chinese revaluing the Yuan and the US economic implications of that and then end with a funny story.
I do that sort of stuff every day, so instead, I think I will have some fun of my own as I give this a go. After all, the only rule I was given was not to write any profanity, so I just might stretch the bounds a bit.
Now, if you would rather not read about the mating and sexual proclivities of the British, then by all means say so now and IÂ’ll refrain from salacious writing. In my next post I shall try to amuse you with a few details of my tawdry life and the interesting circumstances surrounding how Michele actually befriended me. Now there's a bit of salacious reading!
