Be Careful What You Ask For

I'm just overjoyed! I finally scheduled an hour for myself to catch up with my blog family. Reading my blogsis, Tammi of Road Warrior Survival, brought some happy tears to my eyes. In her posts: "Be Careful What You Ask For" and "Almost" we get to see her stong faith and positive attitude, not only are they amazing, she's inspirational. I was really happy to read that things are going so great for her. I'm going to call her and tell her myself while she's on the road, but I needed to share her wonderful news with all of you too.

But I especially love this affirming line from one of these posts:
"Anything worth having is worth waiting for."

That about encapsulates my thought for today. I have to be patient with my own journey. I will get there, I'm still moving forward and things are still happening/flowing. It's that sometimes I get impatient and want things done, fixed, changed, finalized yesterday. That's when I have to remember to inhale deeply and begin to breathe slowly. And remind myself that things don't happen in my time. Nope, I'm only responsible for putting in all the desired action and visualizing the positive result. The rest doesn't happen in my time but in God's time.

So off I go now to do the 12 chores on my list in the next 7 hours, that I've been putting off to try and get fit and become gainfully employed.

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering... The interview with the head of Government Relations went very well yesterday. I did get to show off some of my language skills as this gentleman speaks spanish and french fluently.

As I had anticipated, I did get a 3rd call back for the final interview. This would be with the head of Int'l Relations in NY, along with the head of the division of International and Government Relations (headquartered in DC) joining us via teleconference. Luckily I've worked with the DC guy on 2 initiatives last year, and we hit it off well.

Now all I can hope is for him to remember me in a positive light and for me to hit it off well with the NY woman, who I'm hoping will not be jet lagged, after travelling for a month throughout Asia and Europe on business. The rest is in divine hands.

2 You've been tracking along well on the job. I doubt they would have invested this much time with you if there were issues. I think - at this point - it is just rubber stamps. And I agree - sometimes it takes a person some time to change.
